The streets of Kosofe felt the impact of purposeful governance on Wednesday morning, as the Environmental Services Department of Kosofe Local Government Area, acting on the directive of Executive Chairman Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, moved to desilt drainages across the seven wards of the area.
The exercise, aimed at curbing flooding and fostering a cleaner, disease-free community, signals the beginning of a wider desilting drive set to cover several streets across the council in the coming days.
For the Executive Chairman, keeping Kosofe’s environment healthy is not a seasonal gesture – it is a standing commitment.
